You must be the motivator!

How to maintain a state of euphoria. Expect success and maintain your enthusiasm!

To get started, you must possess a bit of faith – believing without seeing. Your attitude has to be, there is nothing I cannot handle.

Five tips to do this:

  1. Just say OK to the situation and see it as it is.
  2. Analyze what is happening from all angles.
  3. Decide what you’re going to do.
  4. Act and Take Action!
  5. Then move on!

“To be what we are, and to become what we are capable of becoming, is the only end of life.” – Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 – 1894) Scottish Novelist

As I am growing in my 60’s, I am realizing what I am supposed to be and who I am to become. This is an awesome realization. I have awakened to the fact that I must be the spark, the starter, the leader, the motivator, the thinker of ideas, the catalyst, the first to act, the life changer, the one who steps forward first, the one who is the mentor, the cheerleader, the maker of change.

“Be the Change You Wish To See in the World” Mohandas Gandhi

If I want others to change around me, I must be the example of that change. If I want growth, I must grow. If I want enthusiasm, I must be the best enthusiast. If I want a joyous atmosphere, I must be the sanguine of the room. I realized that my actions are the only motivational book some people will ever read. If I am not true to my beliefs, I am a fake to everyone around me. I am not true to myself or others. I must walk the walk and be the example for others.

“I was taught how to work. I think that’s everything. Creativity and imagination alone are not going to get you there.”

– Writer Elizabeth Gilbert (1969 ) American author

With all my writings about faith, hope, leadership and mentoring, nothing is of any value if it is not accompanied with hard work and perseverance. I may be the giver of many inspirational words, but if I don’t work to get those messages out to others, it is all a great loss of energy.

“Be comforted in the fact that the ache in your heart and the confusion in your soul means that you are still alive, still human, and still open to the beauty of the world.”

– Paul Harding (1946) English author

I feel the ache in my heart every day, all the time, moment by moment. This ache keeps me alive and keeps me focused. I know what I must do, who I must be, and what I must give to others every day. The days of an easy life are over. I must do all I can with all my power to help guide others each day. Yes, it’s a bit of work, hard at times, but the rewards of service are immeasurable.

Do you have an ache in your heart? Take a minute and say to yourself “What am I supposed to be doing with my life?” “What service am I to be giving to others daily?” The ache won’t go away, but you’ll find the purpose, direction, and guidance to turn that ache into leadership and strength for others.

Homework for all my readers:  Go to someone today and say, “What may I do for you today to help you in any way?” Then hang on, your life with change, and so with the person or persons you are guiding.
