Changing Lives through Dancing by David Woodbury

“I’m too old to dance” “I’m too fat and my knees hurt” “It’s too expensive and I can’t afford it” “What would my (our) kid’s say?” “What would my friends think?”

“Is it safe?” “I’m too busy” “I’m not good enough”

Guess what? I have these same thoughts daily and I dance for a living!

Here are few answers for you:

You’re not too old. The older you get, the quicker you learn because you don’t carry around so much of life’s baggage and fears.

All our knees hurt. Treatment when you get home: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation

We have an affordable dance program for EVERYONE!

Your kids have their own money by now and they will be happy you are dancing.

Bring your friends and have them start dancing as well!

It’s safe for us. It’s safe for you.

If you’re reading this, you’re not to busy to dance.

I’m not good enough either, but I love to dance just the same.

I’m so thankful for a lifetime at Arthur Murray Dance Centers. I love to dance. I love people and music. I relish dancing with a partner to a live band. I love elegant evenings of dancing and watching (and participating) in dance competitions.

Dancing has given me a new lease on life over and over. And it always will. If you want a new lease on life, call your Arthur Murray School, hopefully in Santa Monica, CA! Find a way to come in. We still have free parking.

Take a deep breath and walk in the front door. The rest is up to us. I guarantee, you’ll dance out with a spring in your step!

So, what will happen to you? You’ll have some fun. You’ll meet some great dancers from all walks of life. You’ll get out of breath but get better after a short while. You’ll buy some beautiful elegant dance shoes. You’ll attend some fun group classes and even dance at parties.

If you’re lucky, you’ll say yes to dancing a spotlight and perhaps even dance in a show! Remember to bring those friends and family who encouraged or discouraged you from so long ago. And, your life will change for the better, forever!

This blog sends love and all the joy of dancing to you.

Thanks for reading. Keep on Dancing. Don’t give up. It will get better.

Love to you all,

David Woodbury – Franchisee of Arthur Murray Santa Monica, CA
