“Thank You Readers!”

Changing Lives through Dancing by David Woodbury

Arthur Murray Dance Studio Santa Monica

For many years now, I have written a weekly blog. This is a total of hundreds of writings. Last year I even wrote and had some articles published in our local Santa Monica Magazine!

I don’t know my audience. I post on Facebook and on our web site, DancingSantaMonica.com. I use WordPress to publish my blogs, yet I don’t know how many read my weekly editions.

I realized a few years ago that it does not really matter how many read my blogs. I just love writing them! I’m always on the lookout and listen for new ideas and new fresh inspiration for writing. I even have two books started that I hope to complete in the future when I have some more time open up.

Writing is cathartic, purifying, cleanings and liberating. Writing is fun. Writing is healing and is a great release. Writing can be hard and sometimes flows, sometimes is a grind.

Writing is a way for me to vent when I’m upset. A way for me to celebrate successes and milestones. Writing gives me a chance to remember so many great things in my life, great friends, events, and both good and bad times.

Writing gives me an opportunity to share positive thoughts and experiences that have changed my life. I love to write about my great parents, J. Clair and Col. Troy D. Woodbury. I love to write about my amazing mentors and friends from Arthur Murray Dance Studios.

With almost 50 years with Arthur Murray Dance Studios, and almost 70 years age, I have a lot of stories to tell. Stories of my amazing teachers, franchisees, wonderful students, and interesting dance events. It has been a wonderful dancing life with so many glorious moments along the way.

In my heart, I always love writing each and every blog. I love planning my weekly stories and I think and dream about them. I love having a new idea, an interesting story, and a humorous memory to write about and share.

The purpose of this blog to so say a big “Thank You” to everyone who has taken out a moment of their day to actually sit down and read my thoughts.

I hope that along the way you have been inspired, motivated, and enriched somehow from each week’s posting.

As long as I can type, see, and research new writing ideas, I’ll continue to post and continue to write.

I’m so thankful for the privilege to put words into thoughts and to share them with you.

Remember, it does get better and it will get better!

Thank you for reading and Keep on Dancing!
