I Think You’re Going to Make It!

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared
to what lies within us.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

The greatness inside of you is ready to come out. The leader, the mentor, the confident person full of self esteem. That fantastic part of you is ready to take over your life and lead you to greatness. What lies within you is powerful and is ready to emerge and come to the light.

We can often do more for other men by trying to correct our own
faults than by trying to correct theirs.
— Francois Fenelon (1651-1715) French Roman Catholic Theologian

To “Get to the Top” first we must “first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye”. Matthew 7:5 NIV. I am a solution finder and I always see how things could be done better and more efficiently. Sometimes I see the faults in others before I am first changing my own downfalls and problems in my own life. We can make it, but first we must make the first changed and lead others through example and not criticism (not easy for me to do).

In order to MAKE IT, let’s review the following statement:

We shall not flag or fail. We shall fight in France, we shall fight
in the seas or oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and
growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the
cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the
landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we
shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. – speaking in the
House of Commons on British resistance to the Nazis, June 1940
— Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) British Politician

Perhaps the world would be different had Winston Churchill not made this speech. The recent movie, The Monument’s Men, showed that by the courage and valor of just a few men, most of the priceless art of Europe was rescued and returned the art to the rightful owners. The will to fight and never surrender is what will help us make it through the day.

Never give up, never give in, You are going to make it!
